Complex Analysis — lecture notes with animated figures
A. Lorent, FS26

HOW TO OPEN THE NOTES (no internet needed)

1. Unzip the whole zip file first.
Windows: right-click the zip file > Extract All... > Extract.
Mac: double-click the zip file; a folder appears next to it.
Linux: right-click the zip file > Extract Here (or: unzip complex-analysis-notes-offline.zip).
2. In the unzipped folder "Complex Analysis notes (offline)", double-click

       Open the notes.html

It opens in your web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari).

HOW TO USE

- Click (or tap) a figure with a > button: it plays as an animation, in place on the page.
  Click again to pause.
- Hovering over a playing figure shows buttons at its right edge: restart, back to the printed
figure, show the Python code, and "Py", which runs the figure's Python code live instead of
the recording. Running the Python needs an internet connection (Python is downloaded into the
  browser); everything else works offline.
- Links in the notes work; the Back button returns to where you were.

WHAT IS IN THIS FOLDER

Open the notes.html the notes, in a PDF reader that plays the figures
  README.txt this file
files/ the notes (files/notes.js holds the PDF), the recorded figures
(files/videos/) and the PDF reader (PDF.js by Mozilla)

The plain PDF is on the course website. In ordinary PDF viewers the figures are still pictures.

TROUBLESHOOTING

- "Please unzip the whole folder first": the page was opened from inside the zip. Extract it (step 1).
- A figure shows "running the Python needs an internet connection": your browser could not play
its recording (some Linux browsers lack the H.264 video codec). Try Chrome, or go online.
- Nothing happens at all: try another browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari), and make sure
  the whole folder was extracted.
